Christina Allen-Roach, Principal

WHALEcome to Beulah Elementary School, home of the Whales!   I am so very proud and honored to serve as the principal of this incredible school.  Beulah Elementary is a true school family where faculty, parents, and community collaboratively support each other for the overall educational success of our students.

Beulah students display a strong work ethic and rise to meet the high expectations of faculty and parents.  Our faculty is highly trained and skilled to meet every student’s needs and ensure academic, physical, and social-emotional growth and success.  We are proud to have an active PTA and community partners that give their time, energy, and gifts to support and nurture our students and faculty.

Our school is fully accredited by VDOE standards, and we know it is through the great work of all Beulah stakeholders that our children are academically thriving.  We believe wholeheartedly in our school theme, “All Hands on Deck!”  Our students benefit the most from having all stakeholders engage in supporting all of their needs, from educational to physical to social-emotional.  It takes all hands on deck to accomplish the main goal of growing our students to reach their maximum potential.

This past school year we survived through many challenges and sudden changes presented by a national pandemic and social unrest in our nation.  The Beulah school team has been intentionally working hard together to ensure we provide a highly effective school year as we transition back together again in our building.  All of our faculty and staff are highly qualified and professionally trained to meet the needs of all students and meet them where they are in the learning process.  Additionally, we will continue to implement our SWIM expectations as a Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) school, as well as continue on our work as a social-emotional learning school.  I am thankful that the county allocated us additional teaching staff to reduce our class sizes, increased our student support services teams, and added a bilingual family liaison to our office staff.

We continue to offer small group instruction in reading, math, and word study. We are also very proud of the additional teaching support at Beulah as we secure reading and math interventionists to help provide tiered instruction.  All students have 1:1 chromebook devices to facilitate work through our various digital learning resources.

We will continue to focus on employing effective teaching and learning strategies to meet the diverse needs of our students; creating more student leadership opportunities; and building strong partnerships with our stakeholders.

Sincerely,
Christina Allen-Roach, Ed.D (christina_allen@ccpsnet.net)

Portrait of Bouchard

Mrs. Jennifer Bouchard - Assistant Principal

I began my educational journey at Richard Bland College where I earned my Associate’s degree. From there, I went to Virginia Commonwealth University (Go Rams!) and earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2001. In 2010, I earned my Master’s of Education in Curriculum & Instruction from Averett University, followed by a Post-Master’s endorsement in Educational Leadership from The George Washington University in 2013.

I have been in education for the past 20 years. I dedicated 16 years to teaching in Hopewell Public Schools. In 2017, I joined Team Chesterfield as a Dean of Students at Ettrick Elementary and served there for 2 ½ years before being selected as the Assistant Principal at Amelia County Elementary School where I have served for the past 1 ½ years.

My husband and I, along with our two children, live here in Chesterfield County. I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my kids play soccer, reading, and spending as much time as possible near any type of water.

I am excited to join the Beulah Elementary School community and look forward to getting to know the students, families, and staff. I am a believer in building relationships. It takes a strong partnership between school and home to ensure all students are successful. I look forward to a wonderful school year with our Beulah Whales!

Greetings Beulah Families,

What a great day it is to be a Beulah Whale! It is with great excitement that I get to introduce myself as your newly appointed Assistant Principal. I am honored to join Dr. Allen-Roach, Mrs. Bouchard, and the hardworking faculty and staff of Beulah Elementary. The culturally rich population of Beulah is one with which I am familiar and have served throughout my career.

I am originally from San Antonio, Texas, and graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Education from Texas State University in 1998. As a military wife, my educational experience spans five states and over 13 years. Since my husband retired from the Army earlier this year, we have decided to call Chesterfield County our forever home. My twin 16-year-old boys attend high school here in Chesterfield County, and we are all actively involved in the Chesterfield Scouting BSA community. I joined Chesterfield County Public Schools in 2016 as a teacher at Ettrick Elementary. After several years of teaching, I decided to pursue my Master’s degree in Education Administration and Supervision from Liberty University and graduated in May of 2020. Most recently, I had the pleasure of serving as Ettrick’s Dean of Students.

As a parent, I understand the struggles and stressors this school year and the pandemic has brought to many students and families. This year has shown us how vital the partnership between the school and parents is to our students’ success. My passion is working with children and cultivating positive relationships with students and their families. Building strong relationships creates a positive and safe learning environment where every student knows they are valued when they walk through the Beulah Elementary School doors. Although Beulah already has an impactful leadership team, I will work diligently to assist Dr. Allen-Roach, Mrs. Bouchard, and the Beulah teachers and staff in achieving their vision while cultivating lasting relationships with parents, students, and our community partners. I hope to embody our school theme of “All Hands on Deck,” and it brings me great joy to become a part of the Beulah community. I value the trust Dr. Allen-Roach and Chesterfield County have bestowed upon me.
